Miniature Monday#28: What's Cookin'?
What you're seeing is a Rement kitchen with a Barbie cardboard kitchen background. Looks nice right? Here's a little secret: the Rement kitchen is actually a size too small for Barbie. I believe Rement had the 9-10" dolls in mind for this, like Licca, Pure Neemo, etc. But with a couple of pieces of boards to elevate it close to Barbie's height and the right camera angle....it's looks all right!
I never tire of saying how much I love Rement and the details they put into their miniatures. This is very much like the real thing, photographed below during my visit to Japan. I shoved a bunch of other Rement stuff inside the kitchen drawers to show their depth. They didn't miss a beat on this, from the cutlery drawer, dishwasher, to the 2-tiered pots and pans drawer and even a pull-out chair underneath the sink!
I don't know if they have pull-out chairs on the real thing...I don't remember this one having one but maybe some others do?...I find that these Japanese sinks tend to be lower than what I'm used to here in North America. I love how compact they are though. Definitely practical for homes with limited spaces.
Hmmm...I wonder what Madeleine is cooking?
Happy Miniature Monday!
Miniature Monday?! How lucky is this! I love these Rement miniatures. They could definitely become an addiction if I ever got started on them! ;-)
