Dare I attempt this blog tradition that I have so badly broken last year? I gotta try. Traditions like promises were meant to be broken, and every so often meant to be brought back to life. At least that's what I tell myself.
2014 has been such a challenging year for me. I feel that I owe it to myself to catch my breath before the year is over and appreciate the things that have always brought me happiness: dolls. Ergo the attempt to do a Twelve dolls of Christmas for 2014.
Quite frankly, I've had many moments of the blues in the past few months. I didn't even want to play with dolls. Then I went to the toy collector's show that my partner and I go to every year in November. By the end of it, I had picked up a baggie lot of Francie outfits. Who knew a ziploc bag of old shit can make someone super happy. Well, I was super happy! I went home and cleaned a couple of old doll clothes. The next day I simply had to redress Francie. Suddenly, all is right with the world.

Growin' Pretty Hair Francie dolls in First Formal and The Entertainer
Pictured above are two of the outfits that I found in the purchased bag of clothes that were in good condition. They just needed a bit of cleaning. Francie always knows how to sucker me back into loving her! It seems only appropriate that I continue a blog tradition with her featured.
